UPDATES AND UPCOMING EVENTS
Saturday, July 5th, 2025: Join us for our regular first Saturday meeting. Due to the holiday weekend, we will meet at our regular time and place at St. Paul’s in Pismo, but then just head down to the beach for a longer walk down to Oceano and back. Lunch will follow at Blast & Brew for those interested. Hope you can join us!
Friday, July 25th, 2025: All are welcome to join us for our St. James Day potluck dinner! Huge thanks to Tim & Sue for hosting this evening event. Please RSVP no later than July 20th so we can plan for enough food. Bring your favorite side, salad or dessert. The location and further details will be provided for all those who RSVP.
Saturday & Sunday, August 9th & 10th, 2025: Our friends the Woods are hosting the Fifth Annual Saint Junipero Serra Walking Pilgrimage the weekend of August 9th & 10th. This two day walk starts at the Santa Barbara mission, overnights in Carpinteria, and then finishes at Mission Buenaventura on Sunday. The registration deadline is JULY 4TH! Saturday, September 6th, 2025: “Life Beyond Camino” retreat hosted by St. Patrick’s Church in Arroyo Grande. The retreat is from 12:00pm-5:00pm, followed by mass, dinner and a special “One-Woman Show” about Life on the Camino. (We have seen this show before and it is very entertaining!) More details to follow.
Note: We are looking for an alternate Training Hike Leader until Yvonne recovers from her recent leg injury. If you are interested in helping out in this way, please let us know.

Welcome to the home page of Central Coast Pilgrims!
Our mission is to support pilgrims and pilgrimage for those living in the central coast area of California. We are a volunteer organization that offers advice, encouragement, fellowship, and community to all who might be interested in pilgrimage, and the many people who have already made a pilgrimage. We are passionate about the Camino de Santiago, pilgrimage, and walking. We love sharing our experiences with our local community and beyond.
We meet the first Saturday of each month at 9:30 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, located at 800 Bello Street in Pismo Beach. We gather for fellowship, coffee and donuts until about 10:00 a.m., followed by a Camino-related presentation, start our walk around 10:30 a.m. for about an hour or so, enjoy lunch, and then walk back to St. Paul’s afterwards. Several past participants have told us that these walks "are almost like being back on the Camino", sharing steps, conversation, beautiful scenery and a meal with fellow pilgrims.
