Central Coast Pilgrims
Central Coast Chapter of the American Pilgrims on the Camino
UPDATES AND UPCOMING EVENTS
Sunday, January 18th, 2026: Looking for a good 2026 training walk? Plan to join our friends at the California Mission Walkers for their Anza 250 walk from Grover Beach to Old Mission SLO. The walk starts at 8:00am from Grover Beach, for a total of about 14 miles, finishing at Mission San Luis Obispo. If interested in joining us, please email info@centralcoastpilgrims.org no later than Thursday January 15th for more detailed information.
Monday, January 26th, 2026: Mark your calendars for a very special evening with nationally-renowned authors and speakers Sandy Brown and Dave Whitson. DON’T MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY TO SEE THESE TWO AMAZING PRESENTERS ON OUR OWN CENTRAL COAST! The topic of their presentation is: “The Camino de Santiago and the Resurgence of Pilgrimage”. Those wishing to join us for dinner prior should meet us at St. Paul Church at 800 Bello St. in Pismo no later than 5:00pm. We will walk to dinner and then back to the church hall for their presentation that starts at 7:00pm. We would appreciate a headcount so please let us know if you plan to join us.
Saturday, February 7th, 2026: Our regular, first-Saturday monthly meeting will be held on February 7th. We will start at 9:30am as usual with coffee & donuts, followed by a presentation entitled “Which Camino Route should I walk in 2026?” We will then break into small groups to share more details on each route. This will be a great opportunity for new pilgrims (or veterans) to learn about the next route they might walk. About 10:30am we will depart for our beach walk, south to the creek, then back north for lunch at Blast & Brew. The tide will be up after lunch so we will return to St Paul’s through downtown Pismo. REMEMBER, BRING YOUR CENTRAL COAST PILGRIMS CHAPTER PASSPORT TO COLLECT STAMPS AVAILABLE AT EACH OF OUR 2026 EVENTS, AND BE ELIGIBLE FOR SOME COOL PRIZES TOWARDS THE END OF 2026!
